UNLV Runnin’ Rebels game against San Jose State postponed

The UNLV men’s basketball game scheduled for Jan. 5 at San Jose State has been postponed as the Spartans pause all basketball activities. 

COVID-19 concerns within the San Jose program have halted all of their first three league contestes.

The Mountain West (MW) issued a news release Sunday afternoon. 

“Due to COVID-19-releated concerns within the San Jose State MBB program, the Spartans’ opening 3 Conference games against Nevada (Dec. 29), at Utah State (Jan. 1) & against UNLV (Jan. 5) have been postponed. Games that cannot be rescheduled will be declared no contests,” as statement from the conference reads.

UNLV remains on track to open its MW schedule on Jan. 1 as it hosts San Diego State at the Thomas & Mack Center at 1 p.m.

Tickets for the event can be purchased at UNLVtickets.com or at the box office of the Thomas & Mack, UNLV students enter for free.
