UNLV athletics announced several available promotions before home men’s basketball games this season.

Runnin’ Rebel Fest will return on the men’s basketball home opener, Nov. 7 against Southern University, and will appear before 10 home games this season. The tailgate includes games, music and refreshments for fans.

Students will be able to enjoy free food at Runnin’ Rebel Fest, along with the opportunity to win exclusive apparel, concert tickets, a tuition giveaway and other prizes.

“We can’t wait to see our fans back in the Thomas & Mack Center this season,” UNLV Athletic Director Erick Harper said in a statement. “We are pleased to announce our newest fan and family-friendly opportunities to welcome the community to campus to celebrate our city’s longest sports tradition of cheering on their Runnin’ Rebels.”

Other promotional nights available for students include $2 beer night during home games taking place Monday through Thursday, as well as a $5 meal deal for Friday home games.

Lady Rebels to appear on national television

Two UNLV women’s basketball games will be nationally televised this season.

Jan. 14’s home matchup against New Mexico will be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 at 6 p.m. and two days later, the Boise State home game on Jan. 16 at 8 p.m. will be on CBS Sports Network.

“We’re thrilled to be showcased on this expansion of the Mountain West broadcast schedule,” UNLV head coach Lindy La Rocque said in a statement. “I’m excited for the nation to see the Lady Rebels in prime time and expect our fans to come out in full force to show how much Vegas loves to be on center stage.”

The conference announced five regular season games will broadcast between the conferences’ TV partners, Fox and CBS. The Mountain West Women’s Basketball Championship Game will be on CBS Sports Network on March 8.

The non-conference broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date. Several games will be televised locally on the Silver State Sports and Entertainment Network.

The Lady Rebels will play an exhibition on Nov. 2 against Chico State at 6:30 p.m. at Cox Pavilion. Their 2022-23 regular season will begin Nov. 7 against Pepperdine.
