UNLV’s College of Education will be hosting a TedEx event on Jan. 27, 2024. The planning committee is accepting proposals on presentations related to education, and anyone is allowed to apply, including students, faculty, staff, and community members. The deadline to submit is Nov. 5.
“The theme is ‘Vision to Victory,’” said event organizer and PhD student Mohamed Ibrahim.
The planning committee is looking for these criteria in the proposals:
- A maximum of two pages
- A clear explanation of what the talk is about
- Why the talk is different and unique
- The intended audience of the talk and how it will help or interest them
- An overview of how you will engage the audience
“The reason why I wanted to organize a TEDx event here at UNLV is to provide a space for people to share their empowering ideas and benefit others, help them set and achieve their goals, and inspire others to take the leadership and initiative needed to bring about positive change, both in their lives and in our community,” said Ibrahim.
