On Dec. 6, at approximately 11:30 a.m., I was in the Science and Engineering Building, room 1311. I was in the midst of a Geology exam when the shooting happened. I firmly believed in my right to a secure academic environment— the right to think in a safe environment and the right to fill in my scantron without the intrusion of panic and anxiety. My primary concern should NOT have been whether I would walk out of SEB alive or not. This is an unthinkable worry during a routine exam.

To clarify, on that day, my primary concern should have been if the correct answer to question #28 was A, B, C, or D.

May all the victims of this tragedy rest in peace.

Thank you.
