A new RSO makes a splash on campus with zombies, comedy and entertainment. The Comedy N Entertainment Club was founded this semester and focuses on live standup and developing a sketch comedy show similar to “Saturday Night Live.”

Darcy Silver, an undergraduate student in the Lee Business School, founded and is the president of the club. Silver shares that the club is meant to also connect students with the entertainment industry. With 20 members at the launch of the club this fall, Silver notes, “We are looking to get all students involved. It does not matter if you want to just attend fun events or be actively involved in creating content.” The club welcomes all students who are interested in acting, writing, set design, wardrobe, makeup, production, marketing.

Silver adds, “Students should join the club if they want to attend fun events with other students and friends. You should join if you want to laugh more and create content. You should join if you want to show off your talents. You should join if you like ‘Saturday Night Live’ or watching stand-up comedy.”

Comedy N Entertainment Club meets every Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and every other Monday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. On Nov. 14 to Nov. 15, they are hosting Bret Ernst, a comedian and actor from the martial arts comedy and action series,“Cobra Kai,” at Richard Tam Ballroom.
