UNLV is located in an area with one of the highest crime rates in the Las Vegas Valley, the South Central Area, according to data from the Metropolitan Police Department.
Last week there was a domestic violence call at the Legacy Apartments and The Degree Apartment Complex resident was threatened.
As of Saturday, no crimes were listed after Nov. 19.
Here are the crimes that took place last week according to University Police’s crime log:
Saturday, Nov. 12
4:23 a.m. : University Police officers contacted a student about harassment or threats at The Degree Apartment Complex.
4:38 p.m. : Police stopped someone with no association to UNLV by The Degree Apartment Complex for driving recklessly while under the influence. The driver was also driving the car with no proof of insurance, an expired registration and no drivers license.
Sunday, Nov. 13
11:49 a.m. : Someone with no association to UNLV broke into a car next to the Gateway parking lot on Dorothy Avenue. When police confronted the person, they resisted the officers. Police said they also had drugs and were removed from campus for trespassing.
Monday, Nov. 14
6:02 a.m. : Police responded to a report of potential domestic violence and contacted a student who lives at the Legacy apartment complex near Cottage Grove Avenue and Claymont Street.
7:34 a.m. : Something less than $650 was stolen from a student at the Tonopah Hall.
Tuesday, Nov. 15
2:48 a.m. : Someone with no association with the university was kicked out of the Student Union for trespassing.
3:37 p.m. A student was kicked out of the Lied Library for trespassing.
Wednesday, Nov. 16 –
1:26 a.m. : Someone with no association with the university was removed out of the Beverly Rodgers Literature & Law Building for trespassing.
