Crime Report at UNLV: Nov. 4- Nov. 9

UNLV is located in an area with one of the highest crime rates in the Las Vegas Valley, the South Central Area, according to data from the Metropolitan Police Department. 

Last week, there were over five vehicles that were damaged and many thefts on campus. 

As of Saturday, no crimes were listed after Nov. 9. 

Here are the crimes that took place last week according to University Police’s crime log: 

Friday, Nov. 4 

2:06 a.m. : School property was damaged at the Intramural Field on Harmon Avenue. 

7:32 a.m. : Something was stolen from a student at the Lied Library worth less than $650. 

9:13 a.m. : Something worth less than $650 was stolen from a student at the Lied Library.

9:43 a.m. : A staff member’s vehicle was damaged in a hit and run at the K Lot on Tarkanian Way and Harmon Avenue. 

11:28 a.m. : A student was caught with alcohol on campus at the Williams Hall close to Flamingo Road and University Center Drive. 

Saturday, Nov. 5 

1:37 p.m. : In the inner part of campus, someone with no association with UNLV was apprehended by police for driving under the influence. 

Sunday, Nov. 6 – 

3:01 a.m. : A student’s vehicle was stolen at the Cottage Grove parking garage. 

4:36 a.m. : A student’s vehicle was damaged in a hit and run at the Residence B Lot in front of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. 

5:36 a.m. : A student was robbed on Claymont Street, in between Cottage Grove Avenue and Flamingo Road. 

Monday, Nov. 7 – 

1:46 a.m. : There was a burglary near the Intramural Field with someone with no association to UNLV. 

5:08 a.m. A student was robbed near the Thomas & Mack Center.

11:45 a.m. : Something less than $650 was stolen from a student at the Thomas Beam Engineering Complex. 

11:58 a.m. : A student’s vehicle was damaged near the School of Architecture building . 

Tuesday, Nov. 8 – 

4:19 a.m. : There was a fraudulent use of a student’s banking information that was stolen at the Tropicana Parking Garage. 

2:12 p.m : Someone who was not a student or staff member was removed off the property for trespassing and using drugs in the building at the Student Union. 

4:53 p.m. : Someone with no association with the university was kicked out of the Thomas Beam Engineering building for trespassing. 

Wednesday, Nov. 9 – 

7:32 a.m. : Someone with no association with UNLV was robbed near the Thomas & Mack Center. 

7:34 a.m. : A student’s vehicle was damaged after a hit and run in the Tropicana Parking Garage. 
7:36 a.m.: At Lot O, behind the Juanita Greer White Life Sciences School, a student’s car was damaged by a hit and run.
